Learner Registration Instructions for Tuition-Free Distributed Learning (DL) Courses on the Army Learning Management System (ALMS)

The following instructions apply to tuition-free open enrollment courses that do not require registration through the ULC Registrar Office. For tuition-based DL courses, use the following link to learn how to register: http://ulc.usace.army.mil/HowToRegister.aspx

Accessing ALMS
  • • Click www.lms.army.mil to log in to ALMS (CAC required or DS Logon)

  • • You are now on the ALMS homepage

Registering for your Course
  • • Under the “Home” menu, click “Search for Training”
  • • Enter the course number/title in the “Search” field:
    • o USACE 770-USACE DOD Cost Estimating Policy Overview
  • • Click “Search”
  • • Select the course from the results and click “Begin Registration”
  • • To register, either click “Begin Registration” and “Complete Registration” on the following screen, or click the course title and click “Register” after reviewing the information on the next screen
  • • Click “Home” to return to the homepage. Course should be listed under the “Active Learning” area

Accessing the Course
  • • On the “Active Learning” area, click the course title
  • • Click each of the course modules
  • • Access the module content by clicking “Launch”

Printing your Certificate of Completion
  • • Under the “Home” menu, click “Detailed Training Records”
  • • Select date parameters and click “Search”
  • • Locate the course title, hover the mouse cursor over the “Actions” link, and click “Print Certificate”
