Student Registration


  • Corps Employees are required to complete a SF 182 and submit the request through their local training coordinator. Please ensure that the SF 182 lists the student’s work email address.
  • Non-Corps government employees should submit a SF 182 through their local training coordinator. Contact the Registrar’s office at 256-895-8086 if you need assistance identifying your training coordinator. Please ensure that the SF 182 lists the student’s work email address.
  • Once the Registrar’s office receives the student’s SF182 and payment, the #029 Course Manager will register the student in Blackboard. The student will be sent a welcome email containing the Blackboard link and password, and the student can begin taking the course.

*NOTE: This course uses Blackboard and is a self-paced course. Students must perform the following to successfully complete the course.

  • Check Browser settings to determine what version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer.
  • Internet Explorer 7 cannot be used with Blackboard. Students will need to update their browser to IE8 or higher, or download and use another browser, like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. This may require contacting your IT Administrator.
  • Students with Internet Explorer 8 or higher will need to disable the Compatibility View. To turn the Compatibility View off, perform the following:
  • Select your browser Tools (ALT and letter T)
  • Select Compatibility View settings
  • Uncheck the Use Microsoft compatibility lists box Close the browser and relaunch the content
  • Students will not interact with an instructor or any peers during this course. Students must review all the modules, pass the test, and complete the survey to get a certificate.
