Purpose:
To provide incoming Commanders the background and tools they need for success in command focusing on the first 90 days. The USACE Command Preparation Program orients newly assigned District Commanders to unique aspects of command in USACE organizations. The program also provides an examination of a broad range of topics related to executing the USACE mission and serving its customers. Consisting of two sub-courses, District Commander Pre-Command Course (Phase I) and the District Commanders’ Course (Phase II), the USACE Command Preparation Program is intended to establish both the doctrinal framework for district operations, as well as specific tactics, techniques, and procedures for success.
Description:
Commanders examine the complexities of corporate executive leadership, and are exposed to shared command experiences and possible solutions, while preparing to developed command priorities and execute linkages with USACE Campaign Plan.
Prerequisites:
Designated and recently assigned District Commanders. Deputy District Commanders, Deputy Division Commanders and Division Command Sergeant Majors may attend at the request of their Commander and approval by Chief of Staff USACE.
