Purpose:
The purpose of the USACE Emerging Enterprise Leader (EEL) Program is to develop and empower emerging leaders within the US Army Corps of Engineers. This comprehensive leadership development initiative is designed to address performance deficiencies in critical leadership competencies, equipping participants with the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to excel in their roles and contribute effectively to the organization's mission. The program aims to nurture the next generation of leaders within the US Army Corps of Engineers, ensuring the organization's continued success in delivering vital engineering solutions and securing the nation's future.
Description:
The USACE Emerging Enterprise Leader (EEL) Program is a dynamic and transformative leadership development initiative that spans six months. The program starts with a multi-day resident course and is followed by multiple virtual sessions. It is designed to provide participants with the essential tools to become effective leaders within the US Army Corps of Engineers.
The program features the following key components:
1. Leadership Competency Development: The program addresses critical leadership competencies, including leading change, inspiring teams, achieving results, and fostering collaboration.
2. Transformative Learning Experience: Participants engage in a transformative learning experience that includes self-assessment, emotional intelligence enhancement, communication mastery, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. This multifaceted approach is intended to develop well-rounded leaders.
3. Exposure to Senior Leaders: Participants gain valuable insights through exposure to senior leaders within the organization. This exposure provides mentorship and a broader leadership perspective, relating back to USACE organizational goals.
4. Personalized Coaching: The program includes personalized coaching to help participants apply their newfound knowledge and skills directly to their roles. This one-on-one guidance is aimed at enhancing individual leadership capabilities.
Prerequisites:
This program is designed for emerging Civilian Employees within the US Army Corps of Engineers GS-11 and GS-13 (and equivalent) and Soldiers (Non-Commissioned Officers in the grades of E-6 and E-7, Warrant Officers, Lieutenants, and Captains) with potential and desire for increase leadership responsibility. Attendees must complete an application process and have supervisor's approval for attendance.
